Tickets to the Masters can be expensive, and we are often asked how to obtain less expensive Masters tickets. Of course, winning the Masters ticket lottery is the surest way to obtain an inexpensive Masters badge. But there is another way to experience Augusta National Golf Club during Masters week, without breaking the bank. It’s the Augusta National Women’s Amateur.
The Augusta National Women’s Amateur is an event that is hosted at Augusta National on the Saturday prior to the Masters. It was first played in 2019, and has quickly become a premier event in women’s amateur golf. The first two days of play are held at nearby Champions Retreat Country Club, but the ladies who make the cut get to play their final round on Saturday at Augusta National.
Tickets to the Augusta National Women’s Amateur are available through the Master’s lottery, just like other Masters badges. But if you are not lucky enough to win, let us help you attend. We have your accommodations, hospitality and course access covered. All you have to do is get to Augusta.
Top 5 Reasons to Attend the Augusta National Women’s Amateur
- It’s Competitive Golf – These ladies are playing to win. The excitement is real. They are coming through Amen Corner with the same tension and drama you’ve come to expect from the Masters. It is incredibly exciting golf to watch.
- Support and Grow the Women’s game – Augusta National was slow to embrace their female audience, famously not inviting their first female club members until 2012. But Augusta National made up for lost time by creating this event to elevate the ladies’ game of golf.
- Augusta National in April – It’s Masters week in Augusta. The dogwoods and azaleas are in bloom. The greens and fairways are perfectly manicured. You can walk the golf course and experience everything that makes the Masters special, including the surprisingly inexpensive concessions;
- Smaller Crowds – The crowds are smaller than will be on hand later in the week. It’s your chance to stand at a tee box for the drives, follow players along the fairway, then move to the green to watch the players putt. These same viewing angles simply aren’t as accessible later in the week.
- The Price – You can attend the Augusta National Women’s Amateur for less than half the price of any other round during Masters week. Badges are less expensive. Accommodations are less expensive. If you want to be at Augusta National during Masters week, there is no opportunity that is less expensive.
