Our Kyoto Package gives travelers the opportunity to not only experience the Summer Games and Tokyo, but also enjoy a culturally focused experience that will give you a taste of the magical city of Kyoto.

Spend two or three nights in Kyoto before or after your Summer Games experience in Tokyo.  During your stay in Kyoto, you’ll visit historic districts, iconic temples, and hidden gems while learning about the interesting history of Japan.  Also, consider adding a day trip to Nara or discovering the local cuisine with a culinary tour.

Whether you spend three or nine nights in Tokyo, this Kyoto package is the perfect add-on and it’s not to be missed.

Package pricing:

  • Two Nights: $1595 per person (based on double occupancy)

Optional add-ons:

  • Curated Nara day trip on Kyoto Day 3 (per 1-2 people): $495
  • Add a night in Kyoto (per night per room based on double occupancy): $450
  • Evening culinary tour in Kyoto on Day 2 (per 1-2 people): $295, plus cost of food and drink.

Please Note:

  • Flights:  When booking your flight, please note that this if this trip starts in Tokyo and ends in Kyoto.  You will want to arrive to one of Tokyo’s airports – Narita (NRT) or Haneda (HND).  If your trip starts in Kyoto and ends in Tokyo, you’ll want to arrive to Osaka (ITM) and depart from Haneda (HND) or Narita (NRT) in Tokyo.  Airport transfers are provided in the package.
  • Booking Terms:  A $500 deposit per person is due at the time of booking your Tokyo or Kyoto Package.  The remaining balance may be paid in equal monthly payments with the full balance being due May 1, 2021
  • Cancellation Terms:  All bookings are non-refundable.  No refunds will be given.

3 Nights Tokyo (Opening Package) + 3 Nights Kyoto

Day 1 (July 22, 2021): Arrival Day – Welcome to Tokyo.  Once you arrive in Tokyo, you’ll have a meet-and-greet at either of the Tokyo Airports (NRT or HND), followed by a shuttle transfer to your 4 star hotel (Century Southern Tower). Join us at the Hospitality Lounge before spending the evening at your leisure – enjoying a traditional meal or snack as you explore the surrounding neighborhoods. Meals included:  Evening Hospitality Included

Day 2 (July 23, 2021): Today you will start the day exploring Tokyo with a guided half day tour, visiting many of Tokyo’s most iconic places. You will learn about their history and cultural significance. In the evening, the 2020 Summer Games will officially begin.  Join us at the Bucket List Events Summer Games Opening Ceremonies Watch Party.  We will enjoy food and drinks and cheer on the athletes from around the world. Meals included: Breakfast and Dinner and Drinks (at Opening Ceremonies Viewing Party)

Day 3 (July 24, 2021): The theme of the day is Sport.  Experience one of the world’s most exciting sporting events, the Olympics.  If needed, work with our BLE Team to help arrange tickets to different events on day one of the Summer Games.  Before heading out for a final dinner in Tokyo, stop by the hospitality lounge for a drink and snack.  Meals included: Breakfast; Evening  Hospitality included

Day 4 (July 25, 2021): Depart Tokyo/Arrive in Kyoto – Before departing Tokyo, you’ll enjoy breakfast and receive your bullet train ticket from your BLE team for your morning journey to Kyoto. Once you arrive in Kyoto, you’ll have a meet-and-greet at the train station, followed by a welcome drink and short orientation with your trip host at your hotel. Spend the evening at your leisure – enjoying a traditional kyo kaiseki meal or feast at the nearby izakayas for tasty bites of local contemporary cuisine. Meals included: Breakfast (Tokyo)

Day 5 (July 26, 2021): A full day of exploration with your experienced local guide, visiting many of Kyoto’s most iconic places. You will learn about their history and cultural significance. Lunch takes you to a longstanding, family-owned establishment for a bowl of traditional noodles before continuing with your adventures. In the evening, explore on your own or take an optional curated culinary tour of the city’s most amazing restaurants. Meals included: Breakfast and Lunch

Day 6 (July 27, 2021): Enjoy a free day relaxing and exploring Kyoto at your leisure.  Continue soaking up the culture and beauty of one of Japan’s most desired cities.  Also, today you may want to consider adding a curated Nara day trip.  Nara was the first permanent capital of Japan (AD 710 to 794) and full of historic buildings and temples.  This day trip can be arranged with your BLE representative when booking your trip.   Meals included: Breakfast

Day 7: (July 28, 2021): Departure Day – Enjoy breakfast before your 11:00 A.M. checkout. Your shuttle to Osaka International Airport (ITM) is included and flight departures can be at any time. You can store your luggage with the hotel concierge if you have a later flight.  Meals included: Breakfast

3 Nights Tokyo (Closing Package) + 3 Nights Kyoto
